I seriously love how you portrayed the internal conflict inside Eurylochus within this. I also love how Eurylochus is the one to kill Siren “Penelope” because it’s clear that he just gives her a quick death so that she doesn’t suffer through the same agony as her friends or it could also be that he felt some remorse to her and just wanted to end her suffering as quick as he could.

Him with the baby siren is so cute tho 🥹 Too bad he kills her ☹️

This is exactly how I imagined it going in my head, and I've failed to find an animatic that shows the true gruesomeness of Odysseus's heartless actions. I don't think people grasp the full weight of it all or want to, so I think this was put together very nicely.

This was INSANE. The expressions and the inclusion of baby siren was CRAZY😭😭😭😭 the Sirens have great monster designs but you can see that Odysseus is more of a monster here than they are. He’s ruthless, even after they pleaded for their lives.

I love the depiction of Eurylochus in this animatic!!! I’ve seen interpretations that Eurylochus’ journey is about him becoming more merciful and I love how that idea is played on here. His internal debate over his actions is so well depicted and the interaction with the baby siren broke my heart😭😭

I really dont get this song. Many animators portray the crew as somehow reluctant to kill the sirens. I mean cmon, thye are man eating monsters that ate people from the empty ship and were trying to eat all of them just minutes ago.

This is absolutely amazing! I love the emotion you manage to convey into this, the expressions on everyones faces, eurylychus, the siren, and Odysseous is amazing. the gore is brutal and shocking, and the moment with the baby siren hits especially hard! I also loved the 1:50 transition where he rabs the siren and then strangles her. Anyways, I love how Eurylychus seems to be sorry for the sirens and at least gives them a less painful death., Amazing work with this whole animatic!

I wonder if they are flashback of Troy. This is not first time they have acted like beast.

The baby siren is just the icing on the cake. It brings back the idea mentioned in monster, "if I have to drop another infant from a wall so we all dont die, then I'll become to monster!", really showing that has now become a monster, he embraced poseidon's idea of ruthelessness, he is now a different beast 😭😭

FUCK MY ACTUAL LIFE! This is the follow-up to the Suffering version where she is falling in love with him! I realized it only at 1:47 because of that dreamy smile she makes when Ody grabs her by the waist 😭😭... And he just has the smuggest asshole smile ever, I can't! And MY GOD I *worship* the way you draw the crew at 2:15 like they are soldiers painted on an ancient Greek amphora!! That truly sells the point about these men having just returned from ten years of war and they had all survived and also won, which means they are no better than the creatures they met. And the baby siren? Jorge kind of implied it isn't meant to be there, but canon or not this is never gonna leave the fandom's heads. This is the best angsty version of Different Beast ever made, and I've seen all of them, including some with even more gore. But this one truly gets under your skin, especially with Ody acting neither super villanous, neither conflicted about what he is doing: most if the time he just looks umperturbed, like he switched off his brain, and it's *beyond terryfing* . I. Loved. This.

I really love how the creator made the siren walk, since sirens can change into humans and eventually lure humans into their doom!!! 😭
